Control system and Telecom technician

Description

Requirements :

• Degree in Telecommunications, IT or industrial network
• Experience with microwave communication system  , Satellite ( VSAT),  Radio Systems (VHF, UHF, SSB, …), radio relay (MOTOROLA), Talkie-walkie (programming GP340, GM950, …)
• Experience in industrial networking.
• Excellent communication, verbal, written and presentation skills
• Maintenance and technical support will be considered as an advantage. Up-to-date knowledge of Industry best practices, International Codes and Standards.
• Minimum 3 years of experience.
• Knowledge and experience in the oil and gas industry is an advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• telecom & Control Technician will have two-year degree with a minimum of three years direct hands-on experience within telecom and Computer systems.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the installation and configuration of all telecommunication systems and industrial network
• Ensure preventive, conditional and corrective maintenance of these equipments and their peripheral devices: taxation, voice mail, videoconference, video control.
• Proactive towards existing network improvements.
• Assists offshore sites technicians.
• Potentially supports installation or modification works on new architectures.
• Ensures Work Orders are properly executed and completed.
• Creates and updates relevant documentation.
• Organizes 24/7 service coverage.
• Ensure that HSE rules and procedures are respected and followed according to the company policies.
• Controls / guarantees employees are properly trained (HSE, quality, technical and safety)
• Develop initial and final concept of telecommunication system, preparation of relevant technical system specifications and participate in the purchase activities of these systems.
• Knowledge of Human Machine Interface (HMI)-Knowledge of Ethernet Communications Equipment
• Ability to pass electrical, electronic and digital equipment troubleshooting tests
• Ability to define specifications and requisition telecom and control equipment
• Ability to define problems, collect data and draw conclusions
• Ability to communicate effectively and develop rapport
• Ability to operate diagnostic equipment (multimeter, calibrator, oscilloscope, etc.)
• Ability to operate personal computer
