- Qualifications :
30+ years experience in similar position.
Experience in onshore drilling environments, including complex operations like high-pressure/high-temperature and fractured reservoirs.
Experience in leading drilling teams and managing contractors and service providers.
Thorough understanding of Drilling Techniques and Equipment Expertise.
Well Control Certification, Level 4.
Strong HSE background.
- Role :
The implementation of Health, Safety and Environmental policies including emergency response and security procedures. Onsite well operations management, including logistics and support, liaison with drilling contractor, service companies and Tunis office.
Responsible for the welfare of all personnel on site.
Member of the Field Emergency Team.
The Senior Drilling Supervisor is overall in charge of the rig site and has the final say within the responsibilities of the site team on any issues requiring resolution at the rig site.
- Duties :
• Directing, motivating and developing individuals and the team.
• Execution of operations in accordance with the well program and good industry practices.
• Operational optimisation of the program.
• Management of the input of service contractors and the drilling contractor to ensure the requirements of the program are complied with.
• Taking initiatives to promote safety awareness and ensuring the highest levels of safety and environmental performance are achieved.
• Concise accurate reporting of operations both verbally and written.
• Conducting the morning call with the Tunis team each morning.
• Signing off job tickets from service personnel.
• Maintain and update with lessons learnt, the risk assessment register.
• Preparation of critiques and post operations reports specific to a particular issue or problem.
• Input into the End of Well Reports.
• Assist in the call out of personnel, materials and equipment in a timely manner to avoid rig down time.
• Obtain approval for any deviation to the agreed drilling programme
• Chair daily operations planning meetings
• Chair weekly rig safety meetings

A well drilled and completed in accordance with the program and in a safe efficient manner.
• Comprehensive Lessons Learnt database.
• Daily, weekly and Adhoc reports.
• Service Company job tickets verified and signed.
• IADC reports checked and signed.
