- Qualifications :
15+ years’ experience in similar position.
Experience in onshore drilling environments, including complex operations like high-pressure/high-temperature and fractured reservoirs.
Experience in leading drilling teams and managing contractors and service providers.
Thorough understanding of Drilling Techniques and Equipment Expertise.
Well Control Certification, Level 4.
Strong HSE background.
- Role :
– The implementation of Health, Safety and Environmental policies including emergency response and security procedures. Onsite well operations management, including logistics and support, liaison with drilling contractor, service companies and Tunis office.
– Responsible for the welfare of all personnel on site.
– Member of the Field Emergency Team.
– The Senior Drilling Supervisor is overall in charge of the rig site and has the final say within the responsibilities of the site team on any issues requiring resolution at the rig site.
The execution and operational optimisation of the drilling program. Management of personnel at the rig site. Safety performance at the rig site. Accurate reporting of activities. Member of the Field Emergency Team.
Co-ordinating materials and logistics requirements in order that the rig is kept supplied with personnel and materials in a timely manner thereby preventing rig down time.
- Duties :
• Deputise for Senior Drilling Supervisor, when absent, or as part of an agreed career development plan.
• Execution of operations in accordance with the well program and good industry practices.
• Operational optimisation of the program.
• Management of the input of service contractors and the drilling contractor to ensure the requirements of the program are complied with.
• Taking initiatives to promote safety awareness and ensuring the highest levels of safety and environmental performance are achieved.
• Concise accurate reporting of operations both verbally and written.
• Signing off job tickets from service personnel.
• Preparation of critiques and post operations reports specific to a particular issue or problem.
• Implementation of management initiatives either passed down from Tunis or London or generated locally.
• Call out of personnel, materials and equipment in a timely manner to avoid rig down time.
• Report any deviation from the agreed programme or any problem to the Senior Drilling Supervisor
- Output :
• A well drilled and completed in accordance with the program in a safe efficient manner.
• Daily reports.
• Weekly reports
• Verified job tickets.
• Signed off IADC reports.
• Safety card report (where the drilling contractor is the custodian, it is the NDS responsibility to ensure accuracy of reporting)
